A video of NLE Choppa getting into a physical altercation began circulating yesterday evening. Specifically, the clip showed the Memphis-based rapper getting into a fight with an NBA YoungBoy fan at an airport

The video—captioned "I beat just nle ass [sic]"—opens with the fan calling out NLE Choppa as he's walking, asking, "Are you NLE? I asked you mad times."

The NBA YoungBoy fan then proceeded to act as though he was going to hit the "Camelot" rapper, saying, "stop playin' with me." NLE Choppa then threw the first real punch shortly after that.

Shortly after the matter began picking up traction, NLE Choppa spoke on the incident through Twitter in response to a post discussing the fight.

"That first swing what left him KNOTTED damn that bitch was desdly [sic]." the rapper tweeted.

The YoungBoy fan later recorded a follow-up video taking more shots at the Memphis rapper. For context, For K Trey—aka 4KT—is the name of a crew affiliated with NBA YoungBoy, named after one of the rapper's deceased friends.

"Ayo, yeah, I just knocked out NLE Choppa. He's a fucking bitch. Fuck n***a. For K Trey, n***a. We in this bitch," the YoungBoy fan said

However, in a post-and-delete Twitter, NLE Choppa spoke further on the incident sharing his side of the story.

"I be at peace minding my business, but the devil work overtime to bring negativity to someone who seeks positivity," he wrote. "Begging y'all to leave me alone, I'm not one of them no matter how much I've changed. I'll put anybody under I got a daughter, a son on the way, and family to feed."

"It's a difference from getting hit and falling then fighting in flip flops and falling on yo own," the rapper tweeted. "I fell throwing a punch Ian get hit til I was otw down [crying laughing emojis] and my backpack 20 pounds. Buddy lip swole everything I through connected." he added, "My whole ankle rolled I got ice onnat how rn."

While the fan's motivations aren't entirely clear, it's presumed to do with the rumored beef between NLE Choppa and NBA YoungBoy. The rappers, considered peers in the industry, memorably fell out back in 2019 after NLE Choppa seemingly dissed NBA YoungBoy during an interview on Real 92.3.

Earlier this month, a plethora of rappers—including NLE Choppa—shaded NBA YoungBoy over his new "Bring The Hook" track, in which he explicitly disses Chicago's infamous O-Block. Choppa co-signed Lil Reese's tweet on the matter, saying YoungBoy was "just rapping like the rest of these rappers all rap," alluding to artists being all talk and no action.
