Progressive ideals scare conservatives, but the National Rifle Association (NRA) is showing itself to be terrified of what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's congressional primary win on Tuesday, June 26, could mean for the state of New York. At just 28-years-old, Ocasio-Cortez beat 10-term Democratic Representative Joe Crawley in what CNN calls "the most shocking upset of a rollicking political season."

The Bronx native and member of the Democratic Socialists of America was the first candidate in 14 years to even attempt to unseat Rep. Crowley.

So the NRA has lost its s**t. The conservative fear-mongering weaponry organization appears quite flustered and unsettled with the peoples' collective decision to vote the vigilant activist into office. Along with a video from NRATV host Grant Statchfield, @NRATV tweeted, "The socialist movement in America is real..It's dangerous."

Stitchfield says, "Left-wing socialists have infiltrated our nation and want to fundamentally change the country we love."

He puts emphasis on her previously working as a bartender.

New York Daily News reports the organization's CEO, Wayne LaPierre, has warned its supporters of a "socialist agenda" intended to strip firearms away from law-abiding citizens.

"If they seize power," he said during the Conservative Political Action Conference; "if these so-called 'European socialists' take over the House and the Senate, and God forbid they get the White House again, our American freedoms could be lost and our country will be changed forever."

It's evident the NRA is 100 percent threatened by the progressive ideals Ocasio-Cortez plans to implement and uphold during her term, and it's also evident she doesn't care.

So, there's that.
