It’s a hard world out there for actors, especially for those who haven't yet made all the right connections or mentors to teach you the best things to do to stop waiting tables and be an actual working actor. It takes something extra special to become more attractive to casting directors and filmmakers, to create a lasting impression in their hearts and minds. And while talent is key, there's more to it than that. 

This Saturday Feb. 18th at ActNow Foundation’s New Voices in Black Cinema Festival, casting agent veteran Winsome Sinclair, along with select industry photography and acting veterans, present One on One with Winsome & Friends – where they'll share their secrets on how you can make yourself more appealing to casting directors to transform yourself from a hungry actor into a Working Actor beyond the simple headshot and resume. The panel discussion will be conversational and intimate and actors of all backgrounds and disciplines are reportedly welcome.

Sinclair has a long and continual history in the casting world having collaborated on major motion films with top directors such as Steven Spielberg, Spike Lee, Ernest Dickerson, Oliver Stone, John Singleton, Forrest Whitaker, Hype Williams, and Lee Daniels. on major films and TV shows including: Amistad, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Inside Man, Malcolm X, Waiting to Exhale, Higher Learning, Miracle at St. Anna, The Best Man, Belly, "New York Undercover" and Precious.
