An Olive Garden customer has gone viral after experiencing an unusual incident at the restaurant. The customer brought national attention to the restaurant after she claimed to find a breadstick that was printed with numbers and letters. Posting a photo of her food on TikTok, the customer showed a breadstick printed with letters O and K, as well as the number 6. The photo also showed that the customer may have taken a bite from the bread before noticing the unusual print, KTLA reported.

How Olive Garden responded to the viral post
Olive Garden responded to the customer’s social media post and vowed to look into the matter.
“We are concerned to see this,” the restaurant stated, per KTLA. “Can you please send an email to [email protected] with your full name, and the location you went to?”
As social media users reacted to the photo, which has gained more than 3.5 million views since it was posted in mid-November, some people tried to offer an explanation. According to KTLA, one person who claimed to be an Olive Garden employee said the print on the breadstick came from the plastic bag it came in.
“When they sit in the freezer for a while that can happen,” the person said.
Similar experiences date back to 2013 on Reddit
Some others also said they had a similar experience at the restaurant. One photo posted to Reddit in 2013 showed an Olive Garden breadstick which also showed prints.
Olive Garden’s latest concerned customer has now received a gift from the restaurant. The TikToker told her followers that the restaurant has given her a $100 gift card.
“Thank you Olive Gardens,” the customer wrote on social media.
