His new agents at CAA have certainly been busy, getting the man work in Hollywood, since he left France for the sun and fun of LA living.
Young American couple Tom and Anna Reed (James Franco and Kate Hudson) fall into severe debt while renovating Anna’s family home in London. As the couple faces the loss of their dream to have a house and start a family, they discover that the tenant in the apartment below them has been murdered and he left behind a stash of cash—$400,000 worth. Though initially hesitant, Tom and Anna decide that the plan is simple: all they have to do is quietly take the money and use only what’s necessary to get them out of debt. But when they start spending the money and can’t seem to stop, they find themselves the target of a deadly adversary and that’s when very bad things start happening to good people.
Other project’s Sy is signed up for include: an action-thriller from Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, Syriana), titled The Candy Store, Michel Gondry’s Mood Indigo, Bryan Singer’s X-men: Days Of Future Past, a biopic of Rafael Padilla – a former Cuban-born slave, who became the first black artist in France during the Belle Epoque era, and more.
Sy was most recently seen in the French-produced buddy-cop dramedy, On The Other Side Of The Tracks, which The Weinstein Company picked up and released in the USA earlier this year.
