Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family is out on DVD today.
I didn’t catch it in theaters and so I’ll probably watch it on DVD, or when it’s streaming on Netflix. This is what one has to do, given the position I’m in, and the work that I do on this website. I can’t talk about it if I haven’t seen it, right?
So, anyone of you who did see it want to give me a heads-up on what to expect? Same ol’ same old? Something fresh, innovative and revolutionary? 🙂
The film was certified *Rotten* on movie review aggregator site RottenTomatoes.com (no surprise – such has been the story with most of TP’s films; there has always been a disconnect between his audience and the critics), and earned a healthy $53+ million at the box office, which is about average for a Tyler Perry film, so I’m sure it was right inline with estimates.
According to Boxofficemojo.com, the only foreign country it was released in was South Africa, where it’s earned just over $800,000 thus far (as of 8/28/11).
Pick up a copy of Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family on DVD for around $15.50, or on Blu-ray for about $20, both via Amazon.com.
