Oscar nominations were announced earlier and The Help scored well getting a "Best Picture" nomination as well as garnering a "Best Actress" nomination for Viola Davis and "Best Supporting Actress" for Octavia Spencer.
Chico & Rita, an animated film given much ink here at S&A, also was nominated for "Best Animated Feature."
The Academy Awards will air live, February 26 on the ABC network at 7:00pm ET and 4:00pm PT.
