Cyntoia Brown’s new husband used to be married to an R&B songstress, and the ex-wife has some choice words for her former spouse.

Christian rapper and former member of R&B group Pretty Ricky, Jaime “J.” Long, married singer Pamela “Pam” Long, a singer from '90s girl group Total, in 2013.

Their divorce was finalized in February, and the wound appears to still be fresh. Pam warned Brown about Jamie during an interview with The Neighborhood Talk. She believes the former member of Pretty Ricky used his career in Christian rap as a ruse to manipulate Brown into marriage.

Brown was released from prison on August 7, as Blavity previously reported. She served 15 years of a life sentence for killing a man who paid to have sex with her. Brown’s marriage to Jaime was revealed a day later via a statement from Atria Books, who will publish Brown’s memoir, according to The Daily Mail.

No one knows exactly when they got married, but it happened while Brown was still incarcerated. The couple wasn’t allowed conjugal visits under Tennessee law. Atria Associate Director of Publicity Yona Deshommes said Brown looked forward to “starting her life as a recently married woman.”

Pam insists she isn’t bitter and wishes the couple the best. She expressed concern for Brown and believes Jaime is using his new wife.

“May the Lord God protect her and her money. It’s about who she is in the public eye and what she has. By her having this face in the media it helps him to have a chance to be around what he deems as the elites,” she added.
