Patti LaBelle’s concert at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee was abrupted on Saturday when a bomb threat was reported. According to KTVZ, LaBelle was rushed off the stage during the chaotic scene.

Video posted to social media shows security escorting the singer off the stage as she was in the middle of her performance.

“Wait,” the confused artist said as she was being taken away.

The crowd appeared to be just as shocked by the sudden turn of events.

“What happened?” people can be heard saying.

Concert organizer Pabst Theater Group later issued a statement, saying “Tonight’s Patti LaBelle show at the Riverside Theater has been postponed following a bomb threat investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department.”

“We are thankful for the efforts of the Milwaukee Police Department and our customers and staff for their safe and orderly exit. We are working with the artist to reschedule the show,” the organizer stated.

Police said the concert attendees were safely evacuated.

“Regarding the bomb threat in the 100 block of W. Wisconsin, all patrons have been safely evacuated,” Milwaukee Police Capt. Warren E. Allen Jr. told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Police are clearing the facility at this time. The investigation is fluid and ongoing.”

Allen also said “the building was searched by K9 units” and “no explosive devices were discovered.”

“There is no threat to the public at this time,” he added.

Catherine Brunson, who was attending Saturday’s concert, said the evacuation happened barely two songs into LaBelle’s performance.

“Somebody got on a microphone and said we have to evacuate the building because there was a bomb threat,” Brunson told the Sentinel. “We came out and police had the block taped off. … A whole lot of people were pretty upset. … It’s scary.”
