Charles F. Patton Middle School in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, has been embroiled in controversy over its approach to protecting LGBTQ+ students’ privacy. In a leaked email sent to teachers, a counselor wrote that specific students’ pronouns should not be shared with their parents.
