If you’ve spent any amount of time on social media, you’ve probably run across the infamous #PeriodAhh video at some point. Hate it or love it, TikToker @brittbarbie3 has racked up millions of views on her videos with celebrities like Chloe Bailey and Yung Baby Tate stitching and remixing her viral “Period Ahh” song with their own twist.

However, as the momentum of @brittbarbie3’s song began to take off, social media users couldn’t help but detect a noticeable shift in the creator’s online content. Within a span of a few weeks, her speech and accent appeared to change. The content creator, who was already under fire for appearing to use a fake “blaccent” and allegedly mocking Black culture, had now appeared to be using slurred speech and faking a disability, according to users on TikTok.

One TikTok user who wasn’t impressed by @brittbarbie3’s alleged antics was @jerseyboydrew. In a series of videos, @jerseyboydrew gathered evidence to support his theory that @brittbarbie3 was deceiving her followers by pretending to be disabled.

“She pretends nowadays that she has some type of disability, or fakes as if she does. In fact, she does not have speech issues, speech problems or nothing,” @jerseyboydrew said before posting a collection of videos that compare @brittbarbie3’s current slurred speech to the pre-viral, more normal-paced speech that she used just a few weeks ago.

“It gets me so mad because I have a disability. I have highly functional autism,” @jerseyboydrew shared. “So for her, and other people like her on this app, to do this for gifts, money, views, and followers, is crazy to me.”

Many people in the comments mentioned that they’ve noticed @brittbarbie3 alternating between different voices and accents in all of her videos. Other commenters praised @jerseyboydrew for calling out the viral content creator.

@jerseyboydrew wasn’t the only one who noticed something was off about BrittBarbie.

Another user, @michelleberg925, made a video showing apparent changes in BrittBarbie’s speech and personality as well. In the first video, she speaks clearly, and in the second, she presents some obvious challenges and is overly excited about getting a package of stickers from a follower.

Another user, @giggle.fire, also posted a video calling out the viral TikToker.

“#disabilityawareness isn’t a joke #brittbarbie3 your wrong for this listen how her voice and accent is at the beginning vs now she’s playing into this and it’s sick,” she wrote in the video’s caption.

There has even been an entire TikTok page dedicated to the exposure of @brittbarbie3.

In the first video, the creator alleges that “BrittBarbie doesn’t want to take accountability for using AAVE and acting Black. Now she is acting as if she has a disability. You can see her accent changes.”

While multiple pages have called out @brittbarbie3, there are still thousands of followers who still support her. Some followers have even shared comments in defense of @brittbarbie3, saying that she’s admitted to not having a disability and that her slurred speech is a “character.”

“Didn’t she make a video she even said herself she doesn’t have a condition? I def see the voice changes,” one supporter commented on TikTok.

“The voice changes are characters A lot of her videos are bait,” said another.

“I honestly don’t think you should accuse her of faking without actual evidence. I’ve been watching all her videos I don’t know what to think,” shared one user.

“I hear the difference but it seems to only take effect when she speaking fast/excited. Her voice still sounds the same,” said another. “It sounds more like a sinus thing. She’s never claimed nor acted to have a disability. I understand your feelings and they are valid, but u can’t accuse someone of something not true.”

@jerseyboydrew took to his platform to repost a video of @brittbarbie3 admitting she does not have autism or Down syndrome. In the video, she’s also using her “regular” voice.
