Hear a part of Cynthia Erivo’s “When You Wish Upon A Star” in the new teaser trailer for Disney+‘s Pinnochio. The film also will premiere on the streamer for Disney+ day.
Disney+ Day returns on Sept. 8 and will lead into D23 Expo, during which tons of new shows and movies, are set to be revealed.
The classic story is a “retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy.”
Robert Zemeckis directs the new live-action film.
The film stars Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Jiminy Cricket, with Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Keegan-Michael Key as “Honest” John, Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco plays Sofia the Seagull, and Luke Evans plays The Coachman. The cast also includes Kyanne Lamaya, Giuseppe Battiston, and Lewin Lloyd.
It is produced by Zemeckis, Derek Hogue, Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, with Jackie Levine, Jack Rapke, Alexandra Derbyshire, and Jeremy Johns serving as executive producers.
