During Playboi Carti’s set at the Smokers Club Fest on Saturday, hundreds of festival-goers swarmed the VIP section. While no serious injuries were reported, the rapper’s set was cut short due to safety issues.

A Twitter user shared footage of the incident that shows security guards rushing to an entrance blocked off by control barriers when chaos ensues.

In the video footage, more security guards rush to block off the entrance and control the situation inside Glen Helen Amphitheater, which causes the crowd to scatter.

Playboi Carti walked on stage around 7 p.m., but the rapper could only perform two songs due to the wild crowd.

The southern California Smokers Club Festival takes place every April 30 and features big-name artists performing throughout the day.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their frustration over Carti’s abrupt end to the performance.

According to XXL, the Smoker’s Club Fest organizers have released a statement regarding the abrupt halt of Playboi Carti’s show.

“Performances at the main stage were temporarily paused to allow the local fire department to examine a portion of railing,” the statement reads. “After the fire department’s review and approval, performances resumed as planned.”

There were no injuries or arrests as a result of the incident.
