The vice president was escorted to the historic inauguration by Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman, who was lauded for his bravery during the Jan. 6 attempted coup at the Capitol. Howard University's Showtime Marching Band is slated to escort her during another inaugural celebration on Wednesday, as Blavity previously reported.
