From The Black-Eyed Peas, Gym Class Heroes, to even SA-RA Creative Partners, it’s been awhile since we’ve seen any diverse music groups flourish in the music industry. It wasn’t until I came across hip-hop group The.Wav that my perspective changed.
Hailing from Washington Heights, NYC, this melting pot of independent artists is comprised of four members: Gregory Stutzer, Badi, Cardigan Deville and Vivienne Kelly. Through their music, they aim to impact their community with a positive outlook, connecting and empowering other diverse voices. It’s true that when various creative minds come together, the expected result is greatness.

Gregory Stutzer is the producer, blending contemporary with Caribbean dancehall.
Badi (BAH-DEE) is the most conscious one, promoting uplifting elements such as self-love and critical thinking.
Bronx native Cardigan Deville brings the hip-hop flair to the group with his distinctive witty raps while also highlighting his community of underprivileged streets.
Although Vivienne might be the only woman in the group, she is a renaissance woman with her own fashion line of accessories. In the new track, “Wav.Anthem,” you’ll hear her speak of being African Kings and Queens, teaching the youth of ‘African wisdom.’
These four individuals have made it their mission to ‘redefine dope,’ and with the release of their “Wav.Anthem” track, this message couldn’t be more encouraging and catchy.
Listen to the trap vibes produced by Gregory below and get into The.Wav’s newest anthem. *inserts wave emojis*
