Say hello to filmmaker Conrad Jackson, whose feature film debut, Falling Overnight, has been picking up awards on the film festival circuit this year, from Cinequest, to Sonoma, to Nashville.

The $250,000 film (according to IMDB) “tells the story of twenty-two year old Elliot on the day before he has surgery to remove a brain tumor. Facing what could be his last night, Elliot’s path intersects with Chloe, a young photographer who invites him to her art show. Elliot welcomes the distraction and as the night descends, Chloe takes him on an intimate and exhilarating journey through the city.

The film, most recently, screened at the VisionFest Film Festival, here in NYC, but I missed it, so there isn’t much I can share about it just yet.
