Although almost all heads of universities clear more than six figures, the average part-time professor earns about $20,000 a year. This mirrors the American economy — while the top inflates, the bottom is left to divide the leftovers.

And just in case you didn’t think this was a big deal, this actually applies to three in four college professors. How can we expect our professors to have our back inside or even outside of the classroom if they can’t even afford to cover their own?
