With a healthy dose of hopeless romanticism on the brain, Q-Tip launched a genuine search for a former love interest on social media. With the help of some of his fanbase, a romantic rekindling isn’t far-fetched and totally within reach.

On Friday, the “Vivrant Thing” rap legend hopped on Twitter to ignite a public call for his potential reunion with Pamela Sweat, a woman he recalled sharing a memorable show in high school with back in the day.

“There was a girl i went to HS with … PAMELA SWEAT,” the A Tribe Called Quest member tweeted. “We went to the PRINCE concert in 9th grade. @ MSG if you’re out there id love to know u r well i think of u often.”

After his tweet, the 53-year-old’s followers diligently searched various social media platforms, hoping to optimize his pursuit. Following a comprehensive digital hunt, a follower uploaded a photo who is, in fact, the exact Pamela he was looking for.

“Yessssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!,” the producer wrote in response.

Doubling down on their initial findings, his followers also came across her Instagram. They were sure to highlight that she had not uploaded an image since April. Despite her lack of activity on social media, supporters still set out to bombard the comments of @blessing_peaa_ to continue to help Q-Tip in his pursuit.

“Hey Aunty, Q-Tip looking for you on twitter,” one person wrote.

“Hey did you respond to Q-Tip?? Sorry to bother you, but this might be a love story we didn’t know we needed,” another shared.

The hip-hop vanguard may have completed his mission with relative ease and requited love on the other end of it.
