According to Complex, the album credits producers like DJ Durel, Wheezy, Murda Beatz, BNYX, Buddah Bless, and Pooh Beatz. Rocket Power comes a few days after the “Hotel Lobby” rapper performed “Who Wit Me,” also included in the album, during the Atlanta Braves-New York Yankees game at Truist Park.

Takeoff’s feature comes at the end of the album’s first track, “Fueled Up.”

“Do this s**t for the fam, ’cause this s**t bigger than me,” he raps on the song, transitioning seamlessly into “Patty Cake.”

Takeoff’s voice and influence continue to shine throughout the album. “Back Where It Begins” includes a Future feature alongside Takeoff’s vocals.

Though fans knew little about Rocket Power before its release, the Associated Press reported Quavo hinted at the album’s ethos in May.

“This album is for the Rocket, our true fans, and also, this is my therapy,” he wrote on Instagram. “This album is a true reflection of how I feel right now. Sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m down, sometimes I’m disappointed, sometimes I fall apart, but then I always find my strength again. I know everything might not be alright right now, but the Rocket showed me a way to make it right! Rocket Power keeps me going. Rocket Power gives me fuel. Rocket Power will help us all overcome whatever we’re going through.”

Rocket Power is Quavo’s first solo album since 2018’s Quavo Huncho. The new album comes a year after Only Built for Infinity Links, a joint effort between Quavo and Takeoff under their moniker Unc & Phew.
