Rapper Toosii is shifting his focus to football. Toosii, legally known as Nau’Jour Grainger, announced on Monday that he will attend Syracuse University to pursue his academics and play football.

As he announced his plans for the next chapter, Toosii said he wants to inspire many more young people who are chasing their dreams in their craft.
“For every kid who ever had a dream, make it reality,” Toosii wrote on X.
He also expressed gratitude as he told the world that faith has carried him this far.
“God’s will is the way and no one can stop it not even the devil,” he said. “I wanna thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for even giving me the strength to chase what I believed when so many people told me I couldn’t.”

To his supporters, Toosi let them know they are not forgotten.
“Thank you to the people who supported me as well, it never go unnoticed,” he said. “To be born in Syracuse and move to North Carolina at age 12 and haven’t been back since. When Coach Fran called, I knew it was a sign from God. So with that being said, Cuse I’m coming home.”
Toosii played football in high school
Toosii played high school football at Rolesville in North Carolina. The 25-year-old athlete, who played as a wide receiver and a kick returner, moved to North Carolina after he spent his early childhood in Syracuse, according to CBS Sports.
Toosii now joins the 2026 signing class at Syracuse; the school’s football program is currently ranked at No. 30 in the nation.
Toosii rose to fame in 2020 when his platinum single “Love Cycle.” He also earned recognition for another single, “Poetic Pain,” which was certified gold. He went viral on TikTok in 2023 when his single, “Favorite Song,” went double platinum.
