If you’re anything like me, That’s So Raven, was one your favorite shows as a preteen. It was in the golden age of Disney, and it was headlined by its popular, eponoymous star, Raven-Symoné.

Raven, who began co-hosting ABC’s talker, The View, a few years ago, has said a few things that have left us highly confused as of recent.

However, if she plays her cards right, she’ll may end back up in our good graces – especially with this announcement she made on Thursday.

She’s leaving The View to executive produce AND star in a That’s So Raven spin-off series! Live on The View, she said, “I’m excited and sad, but mostly excited,” about the new endeavor.

Raven even gave details on the new series. “I’m still me. I’m a mother this time, a single mother raising two kids, and one is going to learn that she has visions.”

If you distinctly remember, right after That’s So Raven finished it’s Disney Channel run, it was rumored for sometime that there was an ABC primetime spin-off of the show in the works, but nothing ever came of it. It did, however, produce a Disney Channel spin-off entitled Cory in the House, featuring Raven’s on-screen brother, Kyle Massey.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family,” said Disney Channel’s Worldwide executive vice president Adam Bonnett.

That’s So Raven originally ran on Disney Channel from 2003-2007. It was a monumental moment for Disney, becoming their first multi-camera series, the first show to hit 100 episodes and Raven was the first black woman to have her name in a comedy series title.

Are you excited for this!?! Let us know in the comments!
