Recently Redman shared a video of him jumping out of a plane as he celebrated becoming a licensed skydiver.

The New Jersey rap legend was overly excited as he acknowledged his accomplishment and his hard work. He had to pass a written exam and complete 27 jumps to officially earn his skydiving license.

“I worked hard for this !! 27 jumps and studied hard for my written exam and passed today,” Redman tweeted on Sept. 6. “I’m officially a licensed skydiver !! “I’M WILDIN IN THE SKIES!!!”

Redman also posted a video of this pivotal moment on social media. The video showed him receiving his signed license and ends with a simple but powerful reminder to live.

As reported by Black Enterprise, the “How High” star learned how to skydive at Skydive Sussex in New Jersey and Skydive Spaceland Houston in Texas. He shared a similar video on his Instagram, thanking his skydiving instructor.

Redman captioned the post,”PEDRO, you’re an Excellent Instructor Bro. The Whole SpaceLand Team Thank you..I will See you guys Next time. @skydivesussex Thank you For The Start and Opportunity, I will Be back Jumping In NJ In another Week.”

Fans congratulated Red on all platforms, including his Def Jam Records labelmate Ja Rule, who commented, “Dope, I got 23 jumps to go lol. Congrats!”

Redman, real name Regie Noble, gave a peek into his love of thrillseeking with a Sept.1 video he shared on his official Instagram. But he didn’t leak the news of his jump being part of his training.

After making his way back on solid ground, he shared some insight into his new perspective on life and how important it is to treasure the little things.

Red got real with fans as she shared, “Treasuring the little things prepares you for the big reward.”

“I don’t even kill bugs no more,” he continued. “And if I find a bug in the house, I put it in a cup and I let it back out in the world.”

He went on to say that going out on a date night with a spouse, helping an elderly woman with her bags, or talking to someone in need could be considered treasuring the little things in life.

It seems that Redman is comfortable in the sky, as a fan was able to find an image from a photo shoot that was part of his 1997 XXL cover story.

Redman is currently promoting his latest single, “So Cool” from this long-awaited  “Muddy Waters 2” album and he’s set to headline a “Goats of Cannabis” concert later this month.
