Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of KumaREVOLT TV has announced a multi-platform marketing partnership with video game publisher Versus Evil, and Fearless Media, for the launch of "Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma," a 3rd person action adventure game that builds on the original Afro Samurai manga universe. The four-week partnership will include exclusive content on REVOLT’s platforms, providing gaming and music fans an inside look at the upcoming game.

The complete "Afro Samurai 2" game, developed by Redacted Studios, will be released in three distinct volumes for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, each with its own story arc and fresh new soundtrack.

Music producer and rapper RZA of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan has returned once again as music director, working with each of the contributing indie hip hop artists to help them cultivate their own take on the "Afro Sound" for each soundtrack, a sound that he developed when working on the original animated series.

"When Fearless Media approached us with the opportunity to do something special for the launch of Afro Samurai 2, it was a perfect match," said Michael Roche, SVP of Sales and Partnerships at REVOLT. "The REVOLT audience is anxiously awaiting the continuation of the Afro Samurai story, a franchise that is punctuated by the distinct sound that RZA has created. By partnering with Versus Evil we are able to deliver authentic, highly anticipated content that further showcases the connection between music and gaming."

Leading up to the launch of the game, REVOLT will air exclusive content with RZA and three up-and-coming hip-hop artists featured on the Afro Samurai 2 soundtrack – Visualeyes, Nay Steez and TK (Terry "Tarantikno" Benjormen). This content will live on REVOLT’s digital properties and television channel.

"Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma" is the sequel to the original "Afro Samurai" story and follows the path of Afro’s closest friend, Kuma, a cybernetically enhanced killing machine.

Volume 1 of the video game’s series will be available for digital download on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this month.

By the way, REVOLT recently signed an agreement with AT&T U-verse to make REVOLT, the multi-platform, multi-genre music network founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs, available to U-verse TV customers.

REVOLT became available in the U300 package last month, and includes rights to On Demand video and content on the go.
