Within the last couple of years, Rihanna has blessed her fans with new makeup, a lingerie collection and most recently a luxury fashion line with Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton (LVMH). Still, some remain unsatisfied and have mercilessly pressed the "Work" crooner for a new album.

Rihanna hinted at what listeners can expect when she eventually drops her forthcoming studio album in a May interview with The New York Times, confirming her ninth project will have a reggae sound. With the launch of her global line complete, it appears the 31-year-old has retreated back to the studio to resume production on what she says fans have named this record R9.

Rih posted a video to her Instagram stories Sunday, confirming she was in the studio by moving the camera to show a soundboard and microphone. 

"Behind the scenes of 'where's the album'" the Barbados-born crooner captioned. Given the "ZZZ" emoji and the 5:40 a.m. timestamp that accompanied the photo, either our favorite Avon lady had a late night recording session or is an early riser.


As one would expect, the reactions to her 9-second video were nothing short of comical.
