Rihanna has jokes, but still no album.

The Navy has been long awaiting Riri’s ninth studio album. While she assured fans it would be here before the new year — there’s only about a week left until 2020 and still no signs of R9.

While her stans have been patient for a look into the new album, the Fenty Beauty mogul trolled all of us on Sunday. The fashion designer posted a video on Instagram of an adorable puppy jamming out to House of Pain’s “Jump Around.” She captioned the post “update: me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it.”

Her comment section was immediately flooded, with many laughing because she’s clearly has a sense of humor, but most begging her to let us hear something.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Tammy Rivera commented what we’re all thinking, “Why you playing with us babyyyyyyy.”

“You play toooooooo much,” commented DJ Kitty Cash.

After feeling played by the “Umbrella” singer, many began posting memes to Twitter, perfectly encapsulating how the Navy feels.

This isn’t the first time the Barbados-born star has had some fun at our expense over R9. In July, she posted a clip from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta in which Karlie Redd announces “it was all a lie” while chaos ensues around her — which seems to be the perfect analogy of the Navy.

She also playfully trolled her friend when he started pressing her about the album. Under an Instagram selfie, her friend and Fenty style director Jahleel Weaver, asked Ri "Where's the album heaux?!?!"

The songwriter clapped back, responding “I don't need this kinda negativity in my life. BLOCKT."

If the homies don’t even know of a date coming, then there's little to no hope for the rest of us.

The Grammy award-winning artist confirmed to Vogue in a 2018 cover story that her ninth album was on its way, adding that it’ll fall more within the reggae genre.

About a year after her Vogue cover story, she sat down with Sarah Paulson for Interview Magazine and let everyone in on why it’s taking longer than expected.

"I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out,” she said. "Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all,"

So, yes, Ri has continued to water our thirsty souls. She gave us that iconic Savage x Fenty fashion show that’s rumored to have ended the annual Victoria’s Secret show, consistently puts out new makeup collections with Fenty Beauty and even published a photo book.

While we may not be getting R9 before we’re in the new decade, there’s no denying Riri has been putting in work.
