The Super Bowl is headed to Astroworld.

Rapper Travis Scott signed on to perform with Maroon 5 at Super Bowl LIII, according to TMZ.

Scott and Maroon 5 will play a 13-minute set during halftime at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 3. The NFL never made an official announcement confirming any of the acts performing at the show, but they did not deny the Maroon 5 booking.

“It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show,” a rep said in a statement to People Magazine. “We are continuing to work with [longtime sponsor] Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.”

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine also remained tight-lipped

“It’s the Super Bowl. It’s a great event, and there’s gonna be a band performing — or an artist of some kind, at halftime, and it’s gonna be great regardless of who it is,” he told Ellen Degeneres in November. “Whoever is lucky enough to get that gig is probably gonna crush it … Whoever does it is probably equal parts nervous and excited. This is all speculative 'cause I don’t know who I’m talking about.”

Maroon 5 is allegedly negotiating with other acts including Cardi B, Big Boi, Usher, Lauryn Hill and Nicki Minaj, according to Variety. TMZ claims Andre 3000 is also in the mix. Sources say the NFL has trouble booking musicians due to the Colin Kaepernick controversy. A Change.org petition demanding Maroon 5 boycott the Super Bowl gathered 75,000 signatures.

“Kaepernick risked his career to take a knee for equality, and the NFL punished him for it,” the petition said. “Until the league changes their policy and support players’ constitutional right to protest, no artists should agree to work with the NFL. Join me in asking Maroon 5 to drop out of the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show.”

Amid news of the possible Scott performance, rapper Meek Mill appeared perplexed.
