nullThis post comes a tad late, as the following film has been causing a stir since earlier this week. Earl's Post-Prison Playdate, directed by Rod Gailes (winner of the last Shadow & Act Filmmaker Challenge), is a 12-minute short that takes a provocative look at HIV/AIDS through the risky sexual behaviors of a newly released ex-con.

From Rod:

The film was created as part of an HIV awareness campaign addressing lifestyle issues affecting our community. It stars Richard Carroll, Pernell Walker (Pariah) and Iris Wilson (Broadway's Fela). It is one of a series of films, each addressing a different issue or habit that often goes undiscussed in polite company.

The creative team behind the film includes Rod along with Dominique Morisseau, Michelle Wilson, Randolph Sturrup, Gayle Saunders, and Janice Sequiera.
