Not many people saw The Heart Specialist since it sort of came and went in a flash with very little publicity. However, you now have chance to see it since it will be released on DVD (both standard and Blu-ray) on October 4th through Fox Home Video.

Starring Wood Harris, Brian White and the girl everyone loves (or hates whatever the case may be) Zoe Saldana, the film deals with the funny and romantic complications involving a group of first year medical students at a shabby south Florida hospital.

The film also stars Maria Gibbs, Jasmine Guy, Method Man, Jenifer Lewis, Leon, Nephew Tommy (will someone please again tell me just who in the hell is this Nephew Tommy guy is?) Mya, and Terrence J (yet someone else of whom I’m clueless about).

I know what you’re thinking. You take a look at the cast and saying to yourself: “What? No LisaRaye????”
