The Shadow and Act Digital Filmmaker Showcase is back with Round 3.

If this is the first time you’re hearing about the Showcase, please click HERE for the original announcement and HERE for the official rules and submission guidelines.

Round 3 adds eleven (11) new films to the Showcase line-up including, for the first time, a world premiere and 2 short documentaries.

The Showcase will premiere Will Raee’s Faith & Dreams, a compelling look at the brutal recruitment of child soldiers in Uganda.

Also featured will be the short documentary Corrective Rape, directed by Joel Edwards, which explores a troubling trend in South Africa involving the rape of lesbians by men in an effort to change their sexual orientation.

Other first time titles include Close from Sundance 2011 alum Tahir Jetter, 2010 Urbanworld Film Festival winner Katrina's Son by Ya’ke Smith, Hear Me by Kenn Michael and Mr Graham from Julius Amedume.

These films will join popular entries carried over from prior rounds including Hug (Khary Jones), In The Wind (Martin Papazian), Men In Love (Keith Davis) and Loo$e Change (Mykwain Gainey).

Click HERE or go to the Showcase’s Facebook page HERE to watch the films and vote for your favorites. You can only vote once, but you may choose more than one film when doing so.

Round 3 will end on February 29, 2012 and a winner will be announced shortly thereafter. So be sure to record your votes soon.

Good luck to all of our participating filmmakers!
