Spoiler alert for this week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Versus The World
Many were shocked last week when the inaugural season of RuPaul’s Drag Race international all stars…aka RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Versus The World, sent home Jimbo. The Canadian queen as the frontrunner of the competition so far and was taken out by another frontrunner, Pangina Heals, seemingly in a bid to eliminate the biggest threats…or to keep idol Jimbo in the competition..whichever way you look at it.
This may be a decision that led Heals to her own downfall this week, in which Blu Hydrangea sent her home. The Lip Sync for Your Legacy format always leaves the door open for a queen to get chopped early for doing well. Naomi Smalls coined what’s now known be “Manilla’d” in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 4 when she axed Manilla Luzon, who considered to be a frontrunner.
Some will say that Heals left the door open for this to happen to her when she was left in the vulnerable spot.
However, the undisputed frontrunner of the season so far didn’t even have a bad week and this was her only “off” week in the competition….and again, if this was “off” for her, it still was good. Also, if the rules hadn’t changed in his episode to the be “if you’re not in the top, you’re in the bottom,” (just as controversial as it was in All Stars 5) there’s a chance Heals may not have even been up for elimination.
Between Ru’s audible gasp and discomfort when Hydrangea revealed her lipstick after defeating Baga Chipz in the lip-sync, to Heals apologizing to all of Thailand for falling short it was all an emotional affair. It was further exacerbated by Heals crying as she walked away from the mainstage and well into the workroom where you could still hear her wails.
hands down the saddest elimination in drag race herstory, we adore you pangina #DragRaceUk pic.twitter.com/lWjZoc9iwH

It also added another level that this was the first time competing for the decorated Thai icon and Drag Race Thailand host (the first ever host to be in a season after hosting)…and it will more than likely be her last as she helms the third season of her country’s off shoot.
Still as Ru stated, she will always be a global phenomenon, she did her country proud, she’s gained a legion of new fans and showcased her drag to the world…and you know the world loves a robbed queen!
