Multi-talented singer, songwriter, and producer Ryan Leslie is bringing his signature blend of R&B, hip-hop and soul to Nashville at the Blavity House Party Music Festival. Leslie hits the stage on Day 1 of the festival along with Lil Wayne, Blxst, Dru Hill, Leon Thomas and the Sainted Trap Choir.

The “Diamond Girl” artist is set to perform alongside his band, which has backed him up over the last few months while touring overseas. The ensemble has conquered and played in London and Paris, as well as throughout countries like Germany, Ireland, and Belgium. Now, Leslie is bringing the show stateside just for Blavity.

“We’re very excited to bring Nashville all the energy, all of the classics and even some more obscure records that have great live renditions to the stage,” he told Blavity, gearing up for the festival weekend.

Once on stage, Leslie will remind fans of his genius-level production and songwriting with what he calls “a stripped-down” show that differs from what they may expect from a festival or concert performance.

“They will really just be able to get that sense of raw musicianship outside of the bells and whistles,” he said.

Leslie has worked with musical giants, including Beyoncé, Kanye West, Brittany Spears and Usher. He also wrote and produced Cassie’s 2006 platinum single, “Me & U.” With such an extensive catalog, the artist makes time to interject his work with others into his shows.

“We always have a segment in the show to play a couple of records that people might say, ‘Oh, that was you?’

He listed a couple of collaborations like “You Be Killing Em,” a song he penned with rapper, Fabolous.

“They’re always interwoven into the set to ensure that people get the full experience and breadth of the repertoire,” he said.

Leslie performs at the Music Sound Stage on June 13, kicking off the Blavity House Party weekend. Secure your passes to see him and the rest of the artists we have lined up to take over the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Ticketmaster.
