As awards season keeps chugging along, the Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees were announced Wednesday by Danai Gurira and America Ferrera.

Given Shadow And Act’s stated interest, the nominees we are noting include Jharrel Jerome (When They See Us) and Mahershala Ali (True Detective), who are both nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. On the television front, Sterling K. Brown is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role on This Is Us.

On the film front, Lupita Nyong’o continues to work her way toward an Oscar nomination with a nod here for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role in Us. Cynthia Erivo is also nominated in that category for HarrietJamie Foxx is also nominated on the film end for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in Just Mercy.
