The rising death toll and confirmed cases of the coronavirus have forced the majority of the country into quarantine. Yet, people, and even some elected officials, continue to act as if nothing is wrong, disputing the idea that people should be practicing social distancing.

A number of state governors have refused to issue quarantine or shelter-in-place orders, prompting some citizens to continue with their everyday lives as normal. Some congressmen have turned to conspiracy theories and have even questioned whether efforts by medical experts to stop the virus are worthwhile.

New York and New Jersey have suffered the vast majority of deaths, and the virus has made its way to all 50 states and now even Guam

To spread the message that it's vital for everyone to stay at home to reduce the strain on healthcare systems nationwide, Samuel L. Jackson released a fun video of himself reading a timely poem about what people need to be doing right now.

On Tuesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jackson read a hilarious and expletive-laden rendition of Adam Mansbach’s poem "Stay The F**k At Home.”

“Stay the f**k at home, the 'rona is spreading, this s**t is no joke. It’s no time to work or roam. The way you can fight it is simple my friends. Just stay the f**k at home,” he said.

“Now, technically I’m not a doctor, but motherf**kers listen when I read a poem. So here I am, Sam f**king Jackson, imploring you to keep ya a*s at home. If you want things to get back to normal, don’t panic, just use your dome. Wash your hands, stop touching your face and stay the f**k at home.” Jackson read.

“Motherf**ker, it’s no time to gamble, look around you’re not at a casino. Just stay the f**k at home as if your name was Trenton Quarantino. … Do your part to flatten the curve because that s**t is steep,” Jackson added.

The poem is a sequel to another rhyme written by Mansbach titled "Go the F**k to Sleep," which he turned into a bedtime storybook with Ricardo Cortés a few years ago. Jackson hilariously read that poem, too, in 2016.

During the video, Jackson also called for people to donate to Feeding America, a charity that is becoming more important as millions go unemployed and struggle to make ends meet during the coronavirus crisis.
