Scream 7 has found its director. Christopher Landon, director of 2017’s Happy Death Day, will direct the next installment in the Scream franchise.

Landon will take over for Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the pair known as Radio Silence, who helped restart the franchise and directed the previous two films. Spyglass Media Group is producing the picture once more. Radio Silence will remain executive producers, as will their collaborator Chad Villella.

Paramount will once again distribute the film. The film currently does not have a writer due to the ongoing WGA strike.

Landon made waves with his 2017 feature, Happy Death Day. He most recently directed Netflix’s We Have a Ghost.

It us unknown which stars would return, but Jenna Ortega, Mellissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding are expected to be back.
