Idan Ohayon, an Israeli TikToker whose content centered on him making fun of his weight, has passed away at only 28 years old.

Ohayon passed away this past Tuesday at the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, Israel, according to Ynetnews.

Ynetnews also reports that “the cause of death was medical,” though no further details have been publicly provided by Ohayon’s family.

The agency that represented Ohayon, ADD Creative Agency, confirmed his passing in a statement made via Instagram.

“ADD agency is sorry for the family and is deeply hurt by the death of Idan, who was a talented, hardworking and golden-hearted guy,” the agency wrote beneath an upload of the late social media personality.

Earlier this year, Ohayon spoke on his social media journey during an interview with Ynetnews.

“One day, I decided to return to social media, so I uploaded a video on TikTok,” he told the outlet. “Suddenly, I reached 300,000 views in 24 hours, so I posted another video and another one and views kept coming.”

“I returned to my old life and gained a lot of followers, and it was cool. People even recognized me when I was walking on the street and asked for selfies,” Ohayon continued.

“Then I got a call from an agency that told me they want me for a reality show of social media stars. At first, I had my doubts, but as I Googled and saw it was a serious agency, I agreed, went to an auction and they informed me I’m in,” he added, acknowledging how he wound up on The Creatoks.
