Sen. Bernie Sanders joined TV host Jimmy Fallon on his Tuesday night show to assist him in "slow jamming" the news. The Vermont senator kept the discussion centered around the talking points of his campaign, like wealth and income inequality, and largely left the jokes to the professional.

During the regularly occurring bit on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the host brings out guests to perform sensual retellings of current events to a beat provided by The Roots.

“We can no longer tolerate three people owning more wealth than the bottom half of America,” Sanders said during the sketch. “I have the experience to fight for that bottom half and to create an economy that works for all of us, not just those on top.”

In response to that line, Fallon followed up with, “Aww yeah; Bernie Sanders is looking out for your bottom half. He knows it’s been neglected for too long. Now he wants to pay it some extra special attention.”

The exchanges moved along in that way for a while before Sanders interrupted Fallon at the mention of the senator's big heart.

"No, no. It's a normal-sized heart," Sanders said, jokingly referring to the heart attack he suffered in October. "It's a completely normal, completely fine heart. I'm feeling strong, energetic and more ready than ever to fight for the American people."

That led the entire group to go into a riff of Lizzo's hit "Good as Hell," ending with Sen. Sanders signing off the segment with the catchy hook.

"Feeling good as hell," Sanders responded to the question in the hook.

Earlier in the campaign cycle, Sen. Kamala Harris and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg both appeared in the viral sketch.
