Track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson claimed she was removed from a flight after exchanging words with a flight attendant.

The 22-year-old insinuated that the American Airlines flight attendant was “harassing” her. In addition, Richardson posted videos on her social media documenting what happened on the plane.

The videos start with Richardson claiming the white male flight attendant told her to end her phone call. He was beginning to go through safety protocols.

She said she didn’t like his “tone,” and the staff demanded she put her phone on airplane mode as he continued his demonstration.

The athlete wrote on her Instagram Story, “He asked to see that my phones were in airplane mode at this point. He demanded that [I] show him. Which I did in front of him.”

Her next Story documents the white flight attendant backing away from Richardson as she flips her camera around to show him in her personal space.

The two then exchanged words. “I’m recording me, but you jumped in my video, so I caught you because you jumped in my video,” she said. The flight attendant replied, “You can’t record.”

As Richardson and the flight crew continued to go back and forth, other passengers began to yell at her.

The verbal altercation stopped the plane from taking off, and other passengers began vocalizing their irritation with Richardson.

The flight crew called officials onto the plane to address the issue.

They approached Richardson, letting her know the crew wanted her off the plane.

She responded, “Does the captain know the situation that happened before removing me? So do they know this man’s hands is all up in my face, and he was very disrespectful, and I felt threatened?”

Richardson recorded herself speaking with other staff about the incident.

She asked her followers if she was wrong to pursue legal action against the airline.

“Tell me if I’ll be wrong to pursue legal actions against the airline @americanair not only did the man threaten me but also an innocent bystander who simply just wanted a picture with me. In the beginning of the video you can hear a Caucasian male state that he doesn’t give a f as a man that male flight attendant is intimidating a woman. Also the captain not doing anything to help the situation and this flight attendant has the applause when I exited the plane when I’m pretty serious the disrespect I received would not have happened if I was a one of them. One of them even stated good luck with your ban ( I see he took the time to do some research but not stand up for what’s right) soooo @americanair this flight attendant name was John and he refused to state his last name. However him and the lady y’all see standing next to him looked me up ☺️💅🏾also if I see videos posted from this flight, watch.

Tag @americanair if I can help just one person not have to deal with a situation like this with an individual like this, I’ll take the heat 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽”

Richardson was removed from the plane, and she questioned why the same didn’t happen to the attendant based on his “attitude.”

A representative for American Airlines responded to NBC News.

“We reaccomodated the customer on a later flight and a member of our team has reached out to learn more,” the airline stated, according to the outlet.

Comments on Richardson’s posts supported her actions and professionalism with the airline.

One of her supporters was NFL player Odell Beckham Jr.

He commented twice on the post, “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. BUTTT IM THE ASSSSHOLE”

“TELLL ME U GIT KICKED OFFF THE AMERICAN FLIGHT FOR NO REASON 😂😂😂😂”

Beckham recently experienced an incident with American Airlines in which he was removed from a plane during a flight from Miami.

Bodycam footage documented the football star being removed from the plane because he was unresponsive during safety protocols.
