Lady Whistledown may be the talk of the town in Bridgerton, but at the Netflix series’ Season 4 premiere in Paris on Wednesday, show creator Shonda Rhimes and her three daughters — 22-year-old daughter Harper, 12-year-old Emerson and 11-year-old Beckett — were the belles of the ball.

According to E! Online, Rhimes’ daughters made a rare appearance on the purple carpet to support their TV-mogul mom, who looked visibly thrilled to have them by her side in event photos.

Here’s how Rhimes’ daughters showed their support at the premiere and what fans can expect from Bridgerton‘s fourth season.

The premiere marked Emerson and Beckett’s red carpet debut

Rhimes beamed as she posed for photos with her daughters in a metallic pink gown and matching cape. Harper wore a black dress adorned with golden yellow embellishments, echoing Bridgerton’s signature floral motif. Beckett paid similar tribute in a black dress with pink and green florals, while Emerson mirrored her mother’s glamour in a shimmering purple-and-silver look.

The family affair marked Emerson and Beckett’s red carpet debut.

Harper, on the other hand, previously attended the Los Angeles premiere of her mom’s new show, The Residence, in March, with the pair walking the carpet arm in arm and posing for photos together.

Rhimes recently opened up about her ’emotional’ reaction to ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4

With Bridgerton Season 4’s world premiere officially in the books, fans are one step closer to watching Benedict Bridgerton’s (Luke Thompson) love story unfold. Rhimes has teased that his journey will differ from previous seasons, as Benedict must navigate new social challenges after falling for someone from a different social station, E! Online reported.

“Every season is different,” Rhimes told Jennifer Hudson on The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this month. “But this season has this beautiful quality of upstairs-downstairs. We get to see what happens on the other side of the house with the staff. But also the love story is an upstairs-downstairs love story, and I think that’s really good.”

According to Netflix’s Tudum, Season 4 takes inspiration from the third book in Julia Quinn’s popular Bridgerton book series, An Offer from a Gentleman. In it, Benedict is forever changed when he meets the mysterious Lady in Silver at his mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. When the unknown woman leaves Benedict, who only has her satin glove to remember her by, he embarks on a search to find her. But The Lady in Silver is actually a maid named Sophie (Yerin Ha).

Of Thompson and Ha’s performances, Rhimes said the two nailed the characters’ complicated love affair, E! Online reported.

“Their chemistry is amazing,” she said on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “Amazing.”

The Grey’s Anatomy creator revealed that the season is so powerful it sparked an unexpected reaction while she made final edits.

“This is the first season I cried,” she admitted. “It’s emotional. It’s romantic. And it feels good.”

Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 premieres on Netflix Jan. 29 with four episodes, followed by Part 2 on Feb. 26, Tudum reported.
