Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello has found herself typing out a lengthy apology after past Tumblr posts have come to light.
The "Havana" singer's old blog was filled with offensive and stereotyped negative tropes about Black people. Cabello seemed to be especially fond of including fried chicken, "n****r" and jokes about Rihanna in her writings. A Twitter user posted several screenshots that detailed Cabello's behavior reports The Cut.

Cabello has acknowledged the Tumblr blog, vous-etess-belle, was hers and has offered an apology, saying she's grown since. She claimed ignorance as a teenager and states she wasn't aware of the offensive nature of the posts.
“I was uneducated and ignorant and once I became aware of the history and the weight and the true meaning behind this horrible and hurtful language, I was deeply embarrassed I ever used it," she said in the Wednesday post.
“I’m 22 now,” she continued. “I’m an adult and I’ve grown and learned and am conscious and aware of the history and the pain it carries in a way I wasn’t before.”

While many ardent supporters of Cabello feel the music artist deserves forgiveness and understanding, others aren't as empathetic.
RT if you knew blatant racism was completely unacceptable when you were “younger” https://t.co/Xe1rjMySfy

1. Tell us what you're sorry about exactly
2. Keep your feelings out of it. We don't care you're embarrassed/could change things/etc.
3. What did you believe? How did you change those beliefs?
4. Adults can still be racist. We need more info than you just getting older— Wagatwe Wanjuki ???????? ???????? (@wagatwe) December 19, 2019
Some even think Beyoncé's star of a child, Blue Ivy, had an inkling about the singer all along.

Teen Vogue reports Cabello has previously been believed to have used racial slurs toward former Fifth Harmony bandmate Normani although it's never been confirmed.
The Cuban-American starlet noted that she can't go back in time, "But once you know better, you do better and that's all I can do."
