Over the past few months, Skai Jackson has become a Black Twitter favorite. First Twitter users turned a picture that she posted of herself into the pettiest meme of all time. Then, she showed her real petty side when she dragged Azealia Banks on Twitter. Not to mention, Marvel’s first female Iron Man, Riri Williams, was inspired by Jackson.
“I’ve always been that person who’s not going to let someone attack me or say something aggressive toward me,” Jackson said of the Twitter argument she had with Azealia Banks.
Jackson stars in Disney Channel’s “Jessie” spin-off “Bunk’d” where her character Zuri works at a camp as a C.I.T.I.T (Counselor In Training In Training), but Jackson’s personal career aspirations don’t end with acting.
“Maybe directing, producing. That would be fun,” Jackson tells Paper Magazine. She also mentions that she wants to go into the fashion world.
“I’ve always had a passion for fashion. I kind of like edgy clothes. I especially love how Gwen Stefani dresses, because she is very Tumblr chic,” she said.
Skai’s photoshoot definitely proves that fashion might just be a good next step for the star.
Of course, Black Twitter is loving it.
