Instagram stories have given the social media app, Snapchat some strong competition. However, in a new update to the app, Snapchat has added a new search bar that now allows users to quickly find friends, groups, and Discover publishers. The developers are taking note of user complaints that argued the app is difficult to navigate.
According to TubeFilter, "The search features enable users to jump to their own profiles by tapping on their Bitmojis — or a ghost icon if no Bitmoji has been linked. Beneath the search bar, there is also a Quick Chat section whereby users can tap on their friends’ Bitmojis, which will take them to accompanying chat windows and Stories. Users can also search for Discover channels or Our Stories by title."
Take a look at the new features:
While the new features are said to help with user friendliness and speed, the update still does not allow you to search for new accounts. Instead, Snapchat is sticking to its old format for adding friends, which requires you to add new users by name, through your phone contacts, or by Snapping a user's personal Snapcode. Happy snapping!
