Snoop Dogg has gone from rapper, actor and gospel artist to business mogul, adding a slew of positions and partnerships that will forever cement his impact. Now, the 50-year-old is looking to make his mark in the food industry.

His attorney filed a trademark to use his music moniker in the culinary industry so that he can sell hot dogs and other sausage products with the name “Snoop Doggs,” Complex reports.

The application was filed last month in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. However, the petition was categorized as a “so-called intent-to-use,” signifying Snoop's intentions to launch the brand, Billboard reports.

In 2016, Snoop made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he watched a video on the makings of hot dogs. The video showed how hot dogs were prepared in a food factory, and Snoop had to guess what he was watching, People reports.

After guessing what was being made, Snoop was shocked to learn that what he initially thought was Cream of Wheat was indeed a hot dog.

“This is a hot dog!? Oh cuz, I ain’t never eating a motherf***ing hot dog!” Snoop said. “If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good.”

This isn't the first time Snoop has expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors. Last year, the "Gin and Juice" lyricist collaborated with Prestige Beverage Group and Trusted Spirits to create his own line of gin called Indoggo gin.

In 2020, Snoop expressed interest in taking ownership of the label Death Row Records, as Blavity previously reported.
