Congratulations are in order for dancehall artist Spice. She popped out on her Instagram on Tuesday with a pregnancy announcement. The 40-year-old mother of two posted a picture showing off a full-grown baby bump stating, “God has been so good to me.” 

While the singer hasn’t officially stated a gender, one could assume that she may be having a baby boy. Her picture was in front of a blue backdrop and included props of various blue shades. She’s wearing a blue gown and even a blue wig. 

Comments on the post were full of congratulations for the expecting mom.

Spice has previously shocked fans with believable makeup to promote her music. In 2018, she released her single “Black Hypocrisy,” which talked about colorism within the Black community. 

For the video and the song’s promotion, the Grammy-nominated artist released images of herself with a significantly lighter skin tone. This caused people to question if she had bleached her skin. 

Spice used the attention to talk about the dishearting divide that can be placed between darker and lighter-skinned people of color. She also used her platform as a Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member to speak on the issue. 

Fans sent their congratulations and their confusion.

While fans wait for Spice, born Grace Latoya Hamilton to officially confirm the pregnancy, they are happy that she is in good health.

In November 2022, Blavity followed the health issues the singer suffered due to cosmetic surgery complications.

She was speculated to have been in a coma and had postoperative complications after receiving cosmetic surgery procedures in the Dominican Republic.

Conflicting messages came from her family and her team that left fans confused about the star’s real status.

Later that month, Spice resurfaced on her Instagram to provide fans with an update on her health and ensure them that she was doing well.

She wrote, “Thank you Jesus for saving my life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Hey Besties I’m in a better space today to properly update you on my current health situation.”

“I suffered a damage hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery,” she continued. “As you know I’ve been off Social Media for a while to rest mentally, so little did I know that during my medical scare it was already been said that I had a heart attack, I was in a Coma , and I also died 🤷🏾‍♀️but none of that is true. However I’m still recovering from what really happened so thanks so much for all the prayers and concerns, please take great care of yourself, eat, live, love laugh, like it’s your last day, I LOVE YOU ALL SO SO MUCH 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
