Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith brought the heat in his tongue lashing against the New York Knicks after their 21-point loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night.
Tied with the Golden State Warriors for the worst record this season, the Knicks took another L at home, much to Smith’s despise.
Steve Mills, the current team president and former general manager, spoke in a rare post-game press conference to share his disappointment with their performance on the court, according to Yahoo Sports.
Smith, who is a prominent fan of the New York basketball team, lashed out on Monday morning during his radio show after Mills' comments.
"How do you come out of a press conference with a straight damn face on an NFL Sunday evening, in the immediate aftermath of an atrocious loss to a hapless Cleveland Cavaliers squad, and literally say with a straight face, 'We were supposed to be better than this?' With the roster you have accumulated how do you do that?" Smith said. "What the hell's going on?"

The radio host was nothing short of blunt while sharing his disgust for the team’s pitiful lost against the Cavaliers, who are similarly struggling this season.
"I'm embarrassed. Enough showers, baths, and the beyond does not eradicate the stain, the stench that hovers over me every time my name is associated with this damn franchise!" he yelled. "The New York Knicks were so embarrassing last night, sanitation workers wouldn't want to have shown up at Madison Square Garden. They couldn't take that smell."
The Knicks, who only shot 36% from the basketball court, have a roster comprised of mostly young players with vets Marcus Morris and Julius Randle, according to The Big Lead. During his rant, Smith implied that their loss didn’t come as a surprise with their less than impressive roster, despite Mills' “expectations.”
"To have an impromptu press conference in the immediate aftermath of a game, a loss, against the hapless Cleveland Cavaliers…you expected to be better? I believe Steve Mills should drug tested immediately for that statement!" Smith said.
"I swear to God, you all are lucky I'm over FCC airwaves. Oh, my Lord. If there was ever a time I wish I wasn't restricted by FCC airwaves, it's this," Smith added.
Rumors have since circulated that the team is looking to replace head coach David Fizdale, according to ESPN.
The Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls Tuesday night in an 18-point upset. The Knicks will face off against the Dallas Mavericks Thursday night.
