You’re definitely seeing double!
DJ Khaled released the music video to his latest single, “Supposed to Be Loved,” featuring Lil Baby, Future and Lil Uzi Vert.
According to Complex, Nickelodeon debuted the visual on its official YouTube channel on Wednesday, which follows the lives of the four hip-hop stars as children living their best lives at a luxurious mansion party.
In the five-minute video, the rappers’ miniature versions embody grown-man energy as they share how a woman should be treated based on her needs and interests. The visual is strikingly similar to the late The Notorious B.I.G’s “Sky’s the Limit,” where Biggie Smalls and Puff Daddy are also children in the video enjoying themselves at a lavish ’90s house party.
The “We the Best” musician tapped Nigerian-born British artist and director Daps as the visual mastermind behind the music video. He also included online personality Julian Shapiro-Barnum, the host of Recess Therapy, to interview the rap stars in the clip, asking questions, including “What does love mean to you?” and “Why is self-love important?” The children did not disappoint with their responses.
The child actors were almost identical to their adult counterparts, from Khaled’s business-casual attire to Future and Lil Baby’s signature dreads and Uzi’s spiked hair and face tattoos. Each version of the rap stars did something heartwarming and unique for their love interest in the video.
Rolling Stone reported Khaled dropped “Supposed to Be Loved” in August. He then announced the single’s release date to his followers on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Happy release day I’m celebrating wit my family! Everything I do is for my family! THANK YOU GOD!” he tweeted.
