Rep. Maxine Waters already told her naysayers if they're going to shoot at her, they "better shoot straight. But it appears someone wants the smoke.

According to the New York Daily News, a mysterious package labeled “anthrax” led to an evacuation of the congresswoman’s Los Angeles office on Tuesday, July 24. The package came just days after alt-right group Oath Keepers backed out of their protest planned to take place outside Waters' quarters.

Police reportedly responded to the incident on Tuesday afternoon, according to CBS News. However, the item was determined not to be dangerous.

“There was an investigation of an item somehow left behind at the office. It turned out to be nothing dangerous whatsoever,” the sources told The Daily News.

Waters' constant call to action against the Trump administration has caused quite a bit of controversy within recent months. She encouraged liberals and anyone looking to stay on the right side of history to use their voice to make people uncomfortable enough to make a change.

"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up," Waters told a crowd. "And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. We've got to get the children connected to their parents."

The call to action was construed by conservatives as threatening. However, Rep. Waters made it clear she said what she said…and if you didn't like it, well, you don't like it. Sending a package to her isn't going to stop the movement.
