T-Pain and Lil Wayne look nothing alike, but somehow a passerby at a gas station thought the “Can’t Believe It” singer was the “A Milli” rapper. According to HipHopDX, T-Pain talked about the mixup on social media, where he had the best response to the situation.

“Look, I had to go to the gas station this morning for some gas and some condoms or something I can’t remember,” he explained in the YouTube video. “I just went in there and dude came in there and was like, ‘Yo is that your car?’ — and I’m driving the Cullinan, I’m driving the Rolls Truck — and I was like, ‘Yes sir’ and he’s like, ‘That’s a nice car’ then he left out the store. I came out the store he sitting in his truck and he said, ‘Excuse me sir, are you Lil Wayne?’ I said, ‘No sir, I’m not Lil Wayne.'”

But the person wasn’t having it and continued to double down on T-Pain.

“He said, ‘Well you gotta be a rapper.’ I said, ‘I don’t have to be. There’s plenty of people that got that truck that aren’t rappers, I’m not a rapper though,’ and he was like, ‘Well I know you a rapper, man. I just don’t know which one. I’m gonna find out.’ I’m like ‘Alright, that’s f**ked up.'”

T-Pain ended the video urging viewers to check out his latest track and make him “famous again.”

“So anyways, go check out my new rap song ‘That’s Just Tips’ that’s available on streaming everywhere right now. So just go check that out please so people won’t call me Lil Wayne no more. Make me famous again,” he said.

The singer dropped the track on April 29.

People have been trying T-Pain more than usual lately. As Blavity previously reported, T-Pain called out Dallas on TikTok for not buying tickets to his show for his “Road to Wiscansin” tour.

“Dallas, what are you doing? You don’t f**k with me?” he said in the video. “Oh, ‘Hey Pain, you know we f**k with you heavy in Texas.’ Really? What the s**t, Dallas?”

He called out Buffalo for low ticket sales, too.

“BUFFALO YOURE NEXT,” he wrote in the caption.

The “Road to Wiscansin” tour kicks off on May 10.
