The 74th annual Golden Globes were held Sunday evening, and oh was it an eventful night!

Before the ceremony even started, Jenna Bush was on the red carpet, confusing Fences and Hidden Figures, two of the most critically-acclaimed black films of the year. Pharrell Williams, one of the producers for Hidden Figures, reacted accordingly.

black-ish's Tracee Ellis Ross became the first black actress to win Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series since Debbie Allen in 1983.

Then, Donald Glover and the rest of the Atlanta squad won Best Series, Musical or Comedy. In a very important speech, Glover thanked the black folk of Atlanta, as well as Migos for making "Bad and Boujee."

Someone spoke of an imaginary movie named Hidden Fences AGAIN when they announced Octavia Spencer's nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category.

The incomparable Viola Davis won her first-ever Golden Globe in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Fences.

Not too soon after, Davis returned to the stage to give a tribute/introduction for Meryl Streep. Viola's tribute deserved a Golden Globe itself.

Donald Glover was two for two on the night as he won Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Television or Musical for Atlanta.

Then after being snubbed all night, Moonlight took home the arguably the biggest prize of the night, Best Picture, Drama!
