Detroit emcee Noveliss hasn’t stopped since I first heard him on Clear Soul Forces’ LP Fab Five. Last year Noveliss teamed up with UK producer Scott Xylo for the anime ode Toonami Tsunamis. The rapid fire emcee is back with a new EP, titled Mic Swordz. To go along with the EP, we have visuals for the track “Brand New.”

The track, produced by Shepard Sounds, comes with an upbeat old-school feel to it. Noveliss glides through the drums effortlessly. I don’t have enough words, space or time to point the genius between all the metaphors, the clever one-liners and imagery the emcee uses to craft a picture for listeners.
