Fam, Christmas is an amazing time of year to spend with your families to exchange gifts and do your best to avoid awkward conversations as much as possible. Don’t worry though because Chance the Rapper teamed up with Jeremih to drop the Merry Christmas Lil' Mama mixtape. A couple days ago I shared “Living Single”, a joint where the duo teamed up with Big Sean.

Looking back, it was a perfectly timed release.

Remember when I went through the Gucci Mane tape last week? The cover art made think we were going to have more Christmas themed tracks. However, with Chance and Jeremih, all nine tracks on the tape have a Christmas theme. Not only in lyrics but most importantly, in the production. While the production list hasn’t been revealed it’s clear Jeremih did at least a beat on here. Merry Christmas Lil' Mama features Hannibal Burress, NoName and Lud Foe.

Chance really came through this year. If there was any year to drop a Christmas tape, 2016 was it.

Typically, the music calendar ends at the top of December, but to have Chance drop one more free project for us to close the year is perfect. This will most likely be the last new release of 2016 and Jeremih and Chance ended it on a high note.
